Eric Harrington, COO/VP of Sales
Eric is a proven customer support and product manager, having led highly successful teams over the years. Prior to co-founding TeamSupport, he was the director of worldwide customer service and support for Avid's (NASDAQ: AVID) television automation division. Avid provides digital media content-creation solutions for film, video, audio, and broadcast professionals, artists, and home enthusiasts worldwide. The company offers a range of professional digital, nonlinear software, and hardware video-editing solutions, including tools used to edit major hollywood motion pictures, television programs and commercials.
Prior to Avid, Eric ran global support and field services operations for Sundance Digital. Sundance was an industry-leading broadcast automation software company. Eric was instrumental in helping Sundance grow from a small company into the leading provider of automation software in the broadcast industry, whose products were used by major networks, their affiliate stations and cable operations worldwide. By developing and implementing unmatched customer support programs, Sundance was well known as a "customer first" operation. In April of 2006, Avid acquired Sundance, and Eric became director worldwide support and technical sales for the automation division within Avid. In this role, Eric was responsible for integrating Sundance operations into the greater Avid.
With over fifteen years of leadership experience in customer service, information technology and business operations, Eric has successfully led a number of business initiatives that include developing technology solutions and bringing them to market, designing front and back office operations and managing day-to-day business, sales and support operations.
In addition to his leadership position with TeamSupport, Eric is also the co-founder of ApprovalTrack.com which is an enterprise request management solution used by companies around the world. He is also a former U.S. Marine and spent much of his career developing IT advancements at Camp Pendleton, CA. Eric has studied finance at Southern Methodist University (SMU) and earned a B.S. degree in business and information systems from the University of Phoenix. He currently resides in Fort Worth Texas with his wife and two daughters.
